Here I am in Ferens Art Gallery Hull with my work. This was a set competition brief; the challenge was to design something that had been inspired by the ancient archaeology items that are in the East Riding Museum. My inspiration for this canvas piece was the roman jewellery that I saw in the museum; from there I started to look at the jewellery that I own. Women wear jewellery to adorn themselves and so I had created this design with the intension of it being a silk scarf as scarves are often warn for the same reason as jewellery. This design is a mirror repeat done with polyprint dyes and discharge print screen prints.
